Leonora Pepper, Winter 2011/ Spring 2012

Leonora joined the CIBS team as an intern in November 2011, contributing to research covering academic resources on Brazil within New England institutions of higher education. As a 2015 Fulbright research fellow, Leonora is currently exploring traditional small-scale açaí production and marketing in the Amazon estuary, and reporting back to CIBS on the ins and outs of life in northern Brazil, while affiliated  with the Federal University of Pará. Leonora holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College and is a Master of Forestry candidate at Yale University’s School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.
